Cool Company ONLY Accepts Video Resumes

Since the genesis of our website, we've been blogging about video resumes becoming the future of the hiring process. No matter what your feelings are on this issue, it's inevitable - it just makes better sense.

The first adopters were savvy job seekers eager to stand out from the crowd. Now, more and more companies are requiring video as part of their applications process, forcing the rest of us to give serious consideration. As this technology proliferates and becomes more user friendly, those of us over 40 are coming around - no one wants to appear out of touch with technology, especially if you're looking for a job.

Take a trip to Best Buy and check out computers - virtually every one has a camera built in - Apple PC's have had cameras for years. Rumor is that the new iPad coming out will have two way cameras - how cool is that? So if all the new technology is inclusive of video.... You can draw the conclusion. Got any friends in network architecture? If so, ask them where the most money is being invested and they'll tell you bandwidth to accommodate video.

Tufts University in Boston started accepting video resumes as part of their applications process a couple of years ago. Now others schools have followed suit. Virtually every university offers video resume technology (in some shape or form) through their career services division. My point is this, with all the signs pointing this direction its time you gave video resume technology a serious look. TalentRooster.com has it down to a science - check us out - we'd love to help you out.
