It's no secret that the job market sucks and shows no real signs of improvement. Compounding this challenge is that employers have their "pick of the litter" - oh how job seekers miss the 90's! A friend sent me this great piece that provides some good insight on how a job seeker can stand out and get noticed - PROFESSIONALLY as opposed to standing on a street corner with a sandwich board.... One point of contention with this article - there was NO mention of utilizing video resume technology.
